This race that I run, this election for the Georgia General Assembly, it might seem insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but we have an opportunity to send a message and start an incremental change back towards a smaller less intrusive, less costly government. We have an opportunity to make a statement about the way we want to live our lives and govern ourselves. We can send a message to the rest of the country that we, the people of Georgia still believe in the ideal of a America and that the individual liberties constitutionally guaranteed to all Americans are still alive and well and in our hearts and in our minds.

Republicans claim that they want to decrease the size of government but government still grows. Democrats claim they want to protect our civil liberties but we are losing our individual freedoms at an ever-increasing rate. I am a Libertarian, I am principled and consistent in my belief and reverence of individual liberty and individual responsibility and that the two go hand in hand, and that is the essence of all that is American. I am in the pocket of no man, union, organization or corporation. If elected I promise you that I will not compromise away my principals to the winds of political expediency.

The promise of being able to live your life freely with out the burden of excessive government is the keystone of what still holds us together today as well as the reason we are the most powerful, most influential nation in the world.

Our predecessors, the poor and huddled masss yearning to breath free did not do not uproot themselves from their homes, their families, their traditions to risk their lives and their futures to travel sometimes thousands of miles, at great expense, crossing oceans, mountains and whole continents to get to this country because they wanted an overbearing government to regulate every htmect of their lives and provide for their every want and desire, in fact the reasons they came are exactly the opposite. They came to have the freedom to rise or fall based on their own individual merits. They came to have the freedom to associate with whom ever they choose, they came to have the freedom to worship their God in their own way, without repercussions from the state. These things are fact they are irrefutable, they are not open for debate.

We now live under a government that taxes far more than the one our forefathers pledged their lives, fortunes and sacred honors to defeat. We as people have a duty to honor the sacrifices of those that came before us and to always remember the blood that was spilled for the words that guarantee our freedoms as enumerated in our founding documents, lest that blood should have been shed in vain.

If you believe as I do that excessive government robs us our compassion and our morality I need you help. If you believe as I do, that the heart of man is inherently good and that people left to their own devices have far greater ability to live their lives in a moral and peaceful fashion, I need your support. If you believe as I do that a free market unhampered by overzealous rules, regulations and tariffs will always create the best product for the least amount of money, and do the most good for mankind by inventing and designing products government couldnt even think of, I need your help.

And so the hour is upon us. Me and my staff have spent the last year putting together the foundations of a of an incredibly well organized campaign, we intend to win but we cant do it alone. If a candidate like myself is ever going to be elected in the state of Georgia its going to come from the support of ordinary, everyday, rank and file people like us, not huge unions or corporations. The love of liberty is the common bond that ties us all together. It is our common American heritage.
